Malus domestica 'Ellison's Orange'
This wonderful dessert apple is over 100 years old. It is an excellent alternative to Cox as it is much easier to grow and is particularly recommended for the north where it is a popular garden variety. Crisp red-flushed fruits. Intensely rich and aromatic with a hint of aniseed. Highly resistant to scab and mildew. Very attractive blossom.
Pollination: Self-fertile. Group C.
Season: late Sept - late Oct.
Available for delivery: late November - late April.
