A combination of high quality fruit, exceptional yields and superb flavour have resulted in this being one of the most widely grown blackberry varieties in the U.K. Chester Thornless produces bumper yields that are unequalled by any other variety. The large, shiny black fruits are deliciously sweet and juicy. Plants are extremely vigorous producing semi-erect thornless canes. Disease resistance is excellent. Plant 2-2.5m (7-8ft) apart.
