Prunus cerasifera 'Ruby'

One of several cherry plums (mirabelles) recently bred in one of the harshest climates in the world (the Ukraine). The fruits are considerably larger than our native varieties, are delicious eaten fresh and can also be used for making jam. This variety produces an abundance of large dark red fruits with deep red flesh. Eaten fresh, the fruits are exceptionally sweet and juicy with a delicious peach-like flavour.

Pollination: Partially self-fertile. Group A.

Season: early Sept.

Tree Form: Cordon.
