Cherries are an expensive luxury in the shops so it makes perfect sense to grow your own. In the past cherry trees were renowned for their excessive vigour, making them inappropriate for small gardens but with the use of modern dwarfing rootstocks, that is no longer the case. Our sweet cherry trees are grafted onto Gisela 5 rootstock which will produce a small tree that will eventually reach a height of only 1.8-2.4m (6-8ft) and can be trained as a bush, cordon or fan against a wall or fence. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot. Container grown cherry trees are 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) high on despatch. Trees are avaiable from May to September.

Don't forget to include tree stakes and ties on your order. All young fruit trees require staking and for better establishment we strongly advise using Rootgrow when planting (as recommended in RHS planting guidelines).
