Over 100 years old, this is the best known and most popular pear variety in the U.K., suitable for most locations. The long narrow fruits are firm and juicy with a sweet, pleasant flavour. Suitable for dessert and culinary use. Reliable and heavy cropping. Produces a fairly compact tree.
