Plum Tree 'Czar'

Prunus domestica 'Czar' 

So named, as the year it first fruited was 1874, the year Czar Alexander II visited Britain. Remains popular as it can produce very heavy crops and is always reliable. A medium sized dark purple plum with sweet yellow flesh. Excellent for dessert and culinary purposes. Suitable for most parts of the UK.

Pollination: Self-fertile. Group C.

Season: early Aug.

Available for delivery: late November - late April.
