Bare rooted raspberries can only be planted when they are dormant but thanks to new propagation techniques it is now possible to plant quality potted material in the late spring and early summer when weather conditions are more favourable. Raised in 4cm Ellepots, these plants are widely used by commercial growers as they give reliable establishment in the first season. Compared to bare rooted canes, there is virtually no transplant shock and therefore a much better chance of survival. Pot grown raspberries are despatched from late May to early July.
