Malus domestica 'Worcester Pearmain'
This popular garden variety was raised in Worcestershire in 1873. Produces reliable crops of delicious bright red fruits. The firm, juicy flesh is very sweet with an intense strawberry flavour. Resistant to mildew. Can be grown in the north. Very attractive blossom.
Supplied in a ‘Y’ shape with two main shoots that can be trained out in opposite directions at about 45cm (18in) above the ground. On receipt you will need to tie the arms down gradually (in several stages) to a horizontal supporting framework (not supplied).
Pollination: Partially self-fertile. Group B.
Season: Sept - Oct.
Tree Form: Stepover.
Available for delivery: late November - early May.
