Fragaria x ananassa 'Frau Mieze Schindler'
NEW! One of the best tasting strawberries in the world! Bred in Dresden in 1925, it remains the most widely grown variety in German gardens. Scientific tests have shown Schindler to have a high concentration of the flavour component that gives the alpine strawberry its distinctive and exquisite flavour. Yields are vastly superior to alpine strawberries but modest compared to modern varieties. Plant size is small but disease resistance is good. Requires a pollinator (we recommend Cambridge Favourite). Please note: this variety is only supplied as coldstored plants for spring/summer delivery.
Season: mid Summer (mid June - mid July).
