Dating back to 1892, this traditional midseason variety has the most delicious, intense, sugar-sweet strawberry flavour. It has always been considered the best flavoured variety and was the most widely grown strawberry from 1920 until 1960. Its reputation has survived amongst knowledgeable gardeners and it maintains a substantial following to this day. The plants are small with minimal ‘60 day’ yield but will produce good crops of attractive berries in the second year. Well worth the wait, the flavour is out of this world and will bring back memories of strawberries from days gone by.

Season: mid Summer (mid June - mid July).
