Blueberries are very expensive to buy in the shops, yet they are easy to grow and once established will crop reliably year after year. As well as being suitable for growing in the open ground (they do require an acid soil), they are perfect for growing in containers (using an ericaceous compost) on your patio, with pretty white bell shaped spring flowers, succulent summer fruits and brilliant red autumn foliage. Blueberries are self-fertile but It is best to plant two different varieties to improve pollination. Plant 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) apart. All of our blueberry bushes are container grown and are available for despatch throughout the year.
