Pear Trees

Pear trees, like apple trees, are easy to grow and suffer with very few problems. We offer a range of delicious varieties that are grafted onto Quince ‘A’ semi-dwarfing rootstock to promote fruit production from an early age. This will produce a tree of medium vigour that is easy to pick and control. Bush pear trees will grow 2.4-3.6m (8-12ft) in height and spread. Choose a sunny, sheltered site. To ensure rapid establishment, pear trees are supplied bare-rooted and will be 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) high on despatch (including the roots). Trees are available from late November to late April.

Don't forget to include tree stakes and ties on your order. All young fruit trees require staking and for better establishment we strongly advise using Rootgrow when planting (as recommended in RHS planting guidelines).

Sibley's Patio Pear 'Red Williams'New Product
£43.95Sibley's Patio Pear 'Red Williams'A red sport of the famous Williams’ Bon Chretien pear, also known as the Red Bartlett pear. Red Williams has all the taste of Williams', but rather then the pale yellow skin, it has a prominent red flush and picks about 5 days later than William Bon Chretien. The leaf colour also has a red hue, giving it a most attractive appearance. Apart from the fruit colour, the most notable difference between it and it’s better known brother is that Red Williams is considerably more dwarfing than William’s Bon Chretien. This naturally compact growing habit makes it ideal for growing in a pot or in a border where space is restricted. This patio tree has been grafted onto Quince 'C' rootstock and can be kept restricted to a height of 1.2m (4ft).Buy Now
