Patio Raspberry 'Ruby Beauty'

What better way to harvest delicious fresh raspberries than from a pot on your own patio! Now you can grow raspberries even if you have the smallest of gardens. The first of its kind, Ruby Beauty® will reach a maximum height of 1m (3ft 3in) and produce an abundance of fruit with a traditional raspberry flavour. The plant is multi-branching, requiring little or no support and is therefore perfect for growing in a pot on the patio and for dotting around the border amongst other plants. Picking is easy due to its spineless stems and the plant can easily be covered with a net to keep the birds away. Season: late June - late July.

RHS Perfect for Pollinators

Blackberry 'Reuben'

The world's first primocane blackberry (cropping on first year growth) also happens to produce the biggest, sweetest fruits we have ever seen! With a berry weight of up to 14g, the fruits are twice the size of most other varieties. Sweeter than strawberries and full of juice, the fruits taste fantastic picked fresh from the bush. Because of its primocane habit there is the potential to get two crops every year - a summer crop on the old canes and a later crop on the current season's growth. The bush is compact with an upright habit and can be grown in a large container or in the open ground. It is easy to grow, very reliable and loses its spines as it matures. Plant 75cm (2ft 6in) apart. Season: June & Aug - Oct.

Plant size: Ruby Beauty - 2 litre pot, Reuben - 3 litre pot.

Available for delivery: all year.

Blackberries and hybrid berries (arising from crosses between raspberries and blackberries) will thrive under a wide range of site and soil conditions and need not take up much room in your garden. They will tolerate sun or shade and are useful for covering a north facing wall, trellis or fence. With a selection of different varieties it is possible to harvest fruit from early July until the autumn. Although bursting with flavour when eaten fresh, surplus fruit freezes well and can be used to make excellent jam and crumbles! Trained plants can grow and be maintained to a height of 1.5-1.8m (5-6ft) and should be planted 1.8-2.4m (6-8ft) apart. Pot grown blackberry bushes are available for despatch throughout the year.

Don't forget to include a Gripple Wire Tensioning Kit on your order, the easy way to support blackberry bushes.  For better establishment we strongly advise using Rootgrow when planting (as recommended in RHS planting guidelines).
