This lovely collection of courgettes, pumpkins, winter and summer squashes will provide you with colourful and tasty vegetables throughout the summer and autumn months. They are all delicious and are great for roasting, stuffing, using in soups and making pies. Courgettes, pumpkins and squashes will grow well outside on a raised bed or similar. You will need 5m² of growing space for this collection which contains two each of the following young organic plants:
 

Courgette 'Green Bush'
This is a bush variety, which means that plants are large, robust and vigorous but stay compact without sprawling. The fruit are uniform and straight, with a rich dark green colouring and a fine flavour that’s delicate and sweet enough to eat raw, straight off the plant. Gives an exceptionally good crop right through the season.


Yellow Courgette 'Atena Polka'
Easy to grow, decorative and tasty, this variety produces beautiful deep yellow courgettes.


Pumpkin 'Jack O’Lantern'
Producing bright orange pumpkins weighing up to 10kg, this variety is ideal for your menacing masterpieces at Halloween but it also deliciously tasty and versatile. Stores well after harvesting.


Butternut Squash 'Waltham'
Produces sweet flavoured fruits that are light tan in colour, with a smooth orange flesh. The fruits are of a uniform shape and can grow up to 20cm long. Stores well after harvesting.


Winter Squash 'Uchiki Kuri'
A lovely looking winter squash, each plant produces three to five small pumpkin-like fruits averaging 1.5kg. The fruits are an intense orange red with a golden flesh and sweet nutty flavour.


Winter Squash 'Honey Bear'
Decorative and deliciously tasty, this attractive looking winter squash producess mini, acorn-shaped fruits (measuring approximately 10cm) that are delicious and sweet when cooked.

We take the stress out of gardening by delivering healthy young growing plants to you at just the right time for them to be planted, from mid May onwards. All you need to do is pop your plants in the ground (or patio containers), watch them grow and harvest them at the appropriate time!

Carriage & packing charges

Our standard delivery charge to mainland UK is £7.95. Some items (where stated) are p&p inclusive. If you are only ordering items that are p&p inclusive, the standard delivery charge does not apply.
 
Some deliveries to the Scottish Islands and Highlands, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Scily Isles may incur surcharges. If a surcharge is applicable, we will contact you prior to despatch. We regret we are unable to deliver outside the British Isles.
 

Despatch Dates

We regret we are unable to give precise delivery dates as weather conditions can affect the despatch schedule. The following information (which applies to orders placed online and over the phone) should only be used as a guide and on the understanding that we may not be able to keep to these dates precisely. Please note, delivery usually takes longer when payment is made by cheque.
 

Fruit trees, soft fruit bushes, ornamental trees & hedging (bare root)

Bare root fruit trees, soft fruit bushes, ornamental trees and hedging will be despatched from late November until late April.  Orders placed before mid November will usually be despatched by mid December. Orders placed after mid November will usually be delivered within 28 days of the order being placed. Orders placed from early April onwards will usually be despatched within 14 days. Orders received from the 18th April onwards will be despatched in the autumn.
 

Fruit trees & soft fruit bushes (pot grown)

Pot grown fruit trees, gooseberries and currants are available May to late August and will usually be despatched within 14 days.
 
Blackberries, blueberries, cranberries, elderberries, honeyberries, lingonberries, figs, goji berries and grapes are normally available throughout the year. If ordered May to late September they will normally be despatched within 14 days unless ordered with plants that are due to be despatched at a later date. Under these circumstances, to avoid additional carriage charges, the entire order will be sent together when everything is available. Outside this period, delivery may take up to 28 days or longer if ordered with plants that are due to be despatched at a later date.
 

Bilberries

Bilberries are available from February to late September and will usually be despatched within 14 days.
 

Cell Grown Raspberries

Cell grown raspberries are available from late May to mid July and will usually be despatched within 14 days.
 

Strawberry plants (Runners)

Fresh dug strawberry plants will be despatched from October to late November. Coldstored strawberry plants will be despatched from March to late June. Orders placed during these periods will usually be delivered within 28 days. Some varieties are only available as coldstored plants (see product description for availability).
 

Strawberry plants (Misted Tips)

Misted Tips are available from late July to mid September and will usually be despatched within 14 days.
 

Asparagus crowns

Asparagus crowns will be despatched from late March/early April to late May. Orders placed during this period will usually be despatched within 14 days.
 

Hardware

Hardware will be despatched within 14 days unless ordered with plants that are due to be despatched at a later date.
 

Biological Controls (Natural Predators) & Bumblebee Hives

Natural Predators and Bumble Bee hives are only despatched at the appropriate time of year (see product description for detailed information). When "in season" they are despatched direct from our supplier in batches on a weekly basis -  we send orders to our supplier every Thursday and they despatch these orders Wednesday the following week. Natural Predators are sent by first class post, bumblebee hives are sent by carrier.

Jostaberry Bush
£10.50Jostaberry BushThe ancestry of this unusual fruit is complex and includes blackcurrant, gooseberry and a species of wild gooseberry.
