Season: mid July.

Available for delivery: early April - late August.

Cherries are an expensive luxury in the shops so it makes perfect sense to grow your own. In the past cherries were renowned for their excessive vigour, making them inappropriate for small gardens but with the use of modern rootstocks that is no longer the case. Our cherry trees are grafted onto Colt semi-dwarfing rootstock, which will produce a tree of medium vigour that is easy to grow, easy to control and easy to pick. Bush cherry trees will grow 3.6-4.6m (12-15ft) in height and spread. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot. Cherry trees are 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) high on despatch.  Pot grown trees are available from April to late August.

Don't forget to include tree stakes and ties on your order. All young fruit trees require staking and for better establishment we strongly advise using Rootgrow when planting (as recommended in RHS planting guidelines).

£22.95Japanese Wineberry BushUse this plant to bring some winter cheer to the garden! Originating from Eastern Asia, the Japanese Wineberry is grown as much for its ornamental value as it is for its edible fruits. The plant is very decorative - it has dark red stems that are covered in soft red bristles. The calyx (which surrounds the flowers) are also covered in fine red bristles and contrast beautifully against the lime-green foliage which turns almost yellow-white at the time of fruiting. The dark red canes really stand out in the winter and look particularly attractive on a frosty morning. The berries are dark red when fully ripe, juicy and sweet and have a strong raspberry flavour. They are delicious picked straight from the bush but can also be cooked and used to make jam. Plant 1.8m (6ft) apart.Buy Now
