Rootgrow (150g Granules)

Rootgrow (150g Granules)

Rootgrow (150g Granules) Code: XPW001

£5.95 5.9500 In Stock New

rootgrow™ can offer huge benefits to almost all garden plants. It is the only product that will support your plants for their entire lifetime, making it probably the best value purchase you will make. Comprising of (UK origin) Mycorrhizal fungi, rootgrow™ is 100% natural and is the only planting aid to carry the RHS seal of approval.

For better establishment, naturally healthier plants, better drought resistance and stronger flowering and fruiting, rootgrow™ is all you need. Mycorrhizal fungi will colonise the plant and develop into a huge secondary root system that will increase the root area of your plants by up to 700 times in just a few weeks. This will help the plant find essential nutrients, minerals and moisture, enabling the plant to establish quicker and reducing the risk of failure.

One simple application at planting time is all that is required. Once you have used this amazing product you will wonder how you ever managed to grow your plants without it!

Almost all new plants will benefit from rootgrow™ but there are a few exceptions: blueberries, cranberries, lingonberries, rhododendrons, azaleas, heathers & brassicas. It should be noted that using rootgrow™ on these plants will not harm them - it just won’t work.

One 150g sachet will treat up to 25 bare root plants or 7 x 3 litre pots.

Pack size: 150g.

Apple Tree 'Bloody Ploughman'
£21.95Apple Tree 'Bloody Ploughman'First recorded in 1883, there is an interesting story behind the name of this well-known Scottish apple. It originates from the Carse of Gowrie where allegedly a ploughman was shot dead by a gamekeeper for stealing apples from the Megginch Estate. When the ploughman's body was returned to his wife she found some of the stolen apples in his pockets and got rid of them on the rubbish heap. One of the seedlings that subsequently grew produced apples that were blood red in colour and the tree gave rise to the cultivar that was named after the unfortunate ploughman. The fruits are crisp and juicy and when fully ripe can darken to an almost purple colour. The flesh is often stained red which makes it a good variety for juicing and it can also be used to produce cider. It is often considered a dessert apple in Scotland, but the flavour is not particularly sweet and in England it tends to be regarded as a cooker. It makes lovely apple sauce and beautiful pink pies and crumbles. The tree is disease resistant and hardy, performing well in colder areas of the UK.Buy Now
