We reserve the right to revise prices without prior notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances or changes in the VAT rate. Prices include VAT where applicable. Prices in our catalogue may vary from those available on our website. Discount coupons cannot be used against items that are already discounted and cannot be applied retrospectively to orders.
Delivery & Packing Charges
Our standard delivery charge to mainland UK is £8.95. Some items (where stated) are p&p inclusive. If you are only ordering items that are p&p inclusive, the standard delivery charge does not apply. Some deliveries to Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands and Channel Islands may attract a surcharge. If a surcharge is applicable, we will contact you prior to despatch. We regret we are unable to deliver outside the British Isles.
Full payment is due when you place your order. If paying by credit/debit card your card will be charged on receipt of your order at Pomona Fruits.
Lifting & Despatch
Unless otherwise stated, plants are usually only available when they are dormant (from mid November until late May). We regret we are unable to notify customers in advance of despatch dates, as weather conditions can affect the lifting schedule. Orders for fruit trees and bushes placed before mid November will usually be despatched by mid December. Orders placed after mid November will usually be delivered within 4 weeks of the order being placed. If you have any specific requests concerning the timing of your delivery (e.g. if you are likely to be going away on holiday) please let us know. It is not usually possible for us to bring forward delivery dates but we can delay the despatch of your order from the normal run.
If any variety becomes unavailable, rather than disappoint you, we will where possible send a carefully chosen similar variety unless you request us not to do so. If a similar variety is not available we will contact you.
You have the right to cancel at any time up to 7 days after you receive the goods. This policy does not apply to business customers. Except in the case of damaged or faulty goods, or the wrong items having been sent, you will be responsible for returning goods at your own expense. You must take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged in the meantime or in return transit.
Items should be returned to us in perfect condition with their original packaging within 7 days of delivery for a replacement or full refund. You must contact us first so we can provide you with the appropriate returns address. Returns postage will only be refunded if the item is damaged or faulty or the wrong item has been sent. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of the agreement to refund.
If goods are received damaged or faulty please contact us immediately for a replacement or refund. We will reimburse the returns postage if we request the goods are returned. In the event that a plant should die, a free replacement will be sent provided the plant has not been neglected or overwatered or weather conditions were adverse and the failure has been reported to us in writing during the summer following delivery. Pomona Fruits will not be held liable for consequential loss. We reserve the right to ask for any failed plants to be returned to us for examination. Unfortunately we are not able to offer any guarantees on plants supplied outside the UK.
