Cordon Gage 'Oullins Golden Gage' (Pot Grown)
£35.50Cordon Gage 'Oullins Golden Gage' (Pot Grown)Rated by the Victorian writer Hogg as having "exquisite flavour and handsome appearance" this old French variety is more like a plum than a true gage. The fruits are large by gage standards and particularly attractive - golden yellow with faint red spots. Eaten fresh, the flesh is sweet and gage-like with a fruity flavour, far superior to most shop-brought plums. The fruits are also excellent cooked and freeze very well. An excellent choice for the garden, the tree crops reliably countrywide, even in poor summers.Buy Now
