This collection consists of 2 blueberry bushes, 1 each of the following:

Blueberry 'Chandler'

This blueberry variety is living proof that bigger is better! With fruit the size of cherries and a sweet delicious flavour, Chandler holds the distinction of being the world's largest blueberry. Another feature is its long ripening season providing fruit over a period of 6 weeks. Ripens from August.

RHS Perfect for Pollinators

Blueberry 'Duke'

This blueberry is one of the heaviest and most reliable croppers, often yielding over 9kg (20lbs) per bush when mature. It ripens early, but blossoms late and is therefore protected from frost. The light blue berries are medium-large and firm and when picked stay fresher longer than most varieties. The foliage turns yellow-orange in the autumn. Ripens from early July.

RHS Award of Garden Merit  RHS Perfect for Pollinators

Pollination: Self-fertile.

Plant size: 2 litre pot.

Available for delivery: all year.

Blueberries are very expensive to buy in the shops, yet they are easy to grow and once established will crop reliably year after year. As well as being suitable for growing in the open ground (they do require an acid soil), they are perfect for growing in containers (using an ericaceous compost). With pretty white bell shaped spring flowers, succulent summer fruits and brilliant autumn foliage, they make exceptionally good patio plants. Blueberries are self-fertile but it is best to plant two different varieties to improve pollination. Plant 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) apart. Our blueberry bushes are supplied in pots and unless otherwise stated in the product description are available for despatch throughout the year.

Pomona Fruits are thrilled to offer an outstanding range of blueberry bushes for sale. We understand your desire to cultivate these delectable and nutritious berries in your garden. Our selection caters to both enthusiastic novices and seasoned gardeners, with a wide variety of plants suited to diverse growing conditions across the UK.

Are you enticed by the prospect of harvesting your own blueberries but concerned about the challenges of growing them? Our blueberry bush varieties are chosen for their superior fruit quality, adaptability to our climate, and ease of care.

Our range of blueberry plants for sale includes early, mid and late-season varieties, allowing you to extend your blueberry harvest over several months. By selecting a combination of cultivars, such as ‘Duke’ for early fruit and ‘Chandler’ for late-season berries, you can enjoy home-grown blueberries from July through to September.

You may be worried about the specific soil requirements for growing blueberry bushes. We recommend acid soil for all blueberries. However, any variety can be grown in a pot using an ericaceous compost. Many gardeners find space a limiting factor. We therefore offer dwarf varieties like ‘Hortblue Petite’ and ‘Sunshine Blue’, which are perfect for smaller gardens and patio containers.

If you want to grow something unusual, consider planting ‘Pink Sapphire’. This new variety of blueberry (or pinkberry) produces medium-sized bright pink berries that are delicious eaten straight from the bush but are also superb in puddings, pies and jam.

At Pomona Fruits, we’re passionate about helping you succeed in your blueberry-growing endeavours. That’s why each blueberry bush for sale comes with detailed care instructions. From guidance on pruning and feeding to advice on protecting your crop from birds, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Embrace the opportunity to grow your own blueberries and enjoy these antioxidant-rich fruits straight from your garden. With Pomona Fruits, you're not just purchasing a plant; you're investing in years of fruitful harvests, delightful summer desserts, and the satisfaction of nurturing your own super fruit.
