Gooseberries and currants are delicious eaten fresh, freeze well and are perfect for making pies, jams and jellies. They are easy to grow and heavy yielding and although they prefer a sunny position, they will tolerate partial shade. Soil should be free draining. Gooseberries and currants will begin fruiting in the second year and once fully established will produce up to 4.5kg (10lb) of fruit per bush for at least 10 years. Plant 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) apart with a 1.5-1.8m (5-6ft) gap between rows. Plants are available from late November to late April.

We are now taking orders for Autumn delivery. Our range of pot grown gooseberry and currant bushes are available from May to late August.

Aprium Tree 'Cot 'n' Candy'
£35.95Aprium Tree 'Cot 'n' Candy'Apriums are complex apricot-plum hybrids that show more apricot than plum characteristics (genetically they are 75% apricot and 25% plum). They resemble apricots and are noted for their intensely sweet apricot flavour with a plum after taste. The trees grow quickly and are more compact and easier to grow compared to most apricot varieties. Cot 'n' Candy is one of the best varieties for growing in the UK. The golden fruits are often blushed red and are very sweet and juicy with an incredible flavour. Apriums flower early and therefore require similar growing conditions to apricots - a warm, sheltered site in full sun. They can be trained as a fan or grown as free standing trees.Buy Now

Trailing Blackberry 'Black Cascade' (3 plants)The first of its kind, this cascading blackberry is suitable for growing in a patio container or hanging basket. ‘Black Cascade’ produces masses of large, sweet tasting berries on thornless arching stems. Due to its primocane habit (cropping on the one year old cane) it is easy to manage and will crop in its first year. We recommend planting one plant per 35-40cm (14-16in) basket, although in the first year, for greater effect you can plant three plants per basket. When fully mature, each plant will produce up to 2.8lbs (1.3kg) of fruit. Eventual height x spread: 30cm (12in) x 18in (45cm).Buy Now
