Vaccinium 'Bluecrop'

The most widely grown variety of blueberry producing large well flavoured berries. Reliable and heavy cropping. The bush is vigorous and has good resistance to drought. Beautiful autumn colour.

RHS Perfect for Pollinators

Pollination: Self-fertile.

Season: July/Aug.

Blueberries are very expensive to buy in the shops, yet they are easy to grow and once established will crop reliably year after year. As well as being suitable for growing in the open ground (they do require an acid soil), they are perfect for growing in containers (using an ericaceous compost). With pretty white bell shaped spring flowers, succulent summer fruits and brilliant autumn foliage, they make exceptionally good patio plants. Blueberries are self-fertile but it is best to plant two different varieties to improve pollination. Plant 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) apart.

Please note - where we quote a height on despatch, this is measured from the base of the pot.
