Pomona Fruits' Fruit Feed

Our Fruit Feed is a balanced feed (N.P.K 5-5-10) specially formulated for fruit (except blueberries and cranberries which are acid loving). It contains the vital nutrients and trace elements required for plant growth and heavy crops of top quality fruit.

Empathy Granular Biofertiliser - Natural nutrition for stronger, healthier plants

Empathy Biofertiliser provides a balanced, slow-release source of nutrients, enriched with beneficial soil bacteria that help unlock naturally occurring nutrients in the soil. Where possible nutrients are sourced naturally, with the formulation enriched with seaweed to support healthy growth. This supports stronger root development, improved flowering and fruiting, and better soil health. A single application continues feeding plants for up to six months.
 

We stock Empathy Tree and Shrub Biofertiliser which can be used across the garden and a special Citrus Feed for oranges, lemons and other citrus trees.

How to apply Empathy Tree & Shrub Biofertliser

For plants in both pots and beds, sprinkle the recommended amount of Biofertiliser evenly around the base of the plant, keeping it a short distance from the stem or trunk. Lightly work the granules into the soil surface where possible and water well after application. Apply in spring as growth begins and reapply again in autumn.

Liquid Seaweed Feeds from Empathy

If you want to give your fruit plants a boost, seaweed feeds could be the answer.

Seaweed is what is known as a biostimulant meaning it encourages plant growth (more than just a feed). Seaweed extracts contain compounds that can influence plant hormone signalling and help stimulate and regulate root growth, cell division, shoot development and flowering. This growth boost, combined with a priming of the plants natural defences, help plants to respond more effectively to environmental stresses such as drought or salinity.

Seaweeds also contain trace nutrients such as zinc and copper which are important for plant growth and natural antioxidants which protect plant cells from oxidative stress.

In addition these feeds may contain extra ingredients. Empathy produce a range of biostimulant liquid feeds based on seaweed, all of which contain plant derived amino acids. These are the building blocks of protein and help support new growth as well as providing readily available organic compounds for soil microbes.

Empathy All-Purpose biostimulant liquid feed contains only seaweed and amino acids making it suitable for use with all plants. It’s gentle formulation means it can be used as both a root treatment and foliar feed and it is registered for organic use.

Also in the range is an Ericaceous feed which includes added nutrients tailored to acid loving plants such as blueberries, and Tomato and Vegetable feed which (despite the name) is suited for feeding fruit plants due to its added potassium.

How to use Seaweed Feeds

Simply add to your watering can following the dose rate on the bottle, add water and then water onto the soil around the plants roots.

Empathy All-Purpose biostimulant liquid feed is gentle enough to also use as a foliar feed when diluted following the bottle instructions.

Use regularly through out the growing season for maximum effect.
