A wonderfully versatile vegetable, courgettes can be added to pasta dishes and ratatouille, grilled on the BBQ, sliced into ribbons and used in pretty salads, made in to soup and pickled. You can even eat the beautiful flowers - try stuffing them with herbs and cheese and frying them briefly. Delicious! Courgettes can be grown in beds, growbags or large containers. This collection of 12 young organic courgette plants contains 3 each of the following super tasty and easy to grow varieties. Harvested together you can put together some beautiful summer dishes:

Courgette 'Green Bush'
This is a bush variety, which means that plants are large, robust and vigorous but stay compact without sprawling. The fruit are uniform and straight, with a rich dark green colouring and a fine flavour that’s delicate and sweet enough to eat raw, straight off the plant. Gives an exceptionally good crop right through the season.

Yellow Courgette 'Atena Polka'
Easy to grow, decorative and tasty, this variety produces beautiful deep yellow courgettes.

Courgette 'Tondo Chiara di Nizza'
A lovely round shaped courgette which is pale green in colour. It is highly productive so you’ll get a big crop. Cut the courgettes when they are about 10cm in diameter – they’re great for roasting and stuffing.

Courgette 'Tromboncino Albenga'
This fantastic climbing courgette can be grown easily in a container against a trellis or wigwam and is perfect for small spaces. You can either eat the courgettes whilst they are still small or leave them to grow and further ripen before storing them in much the same way as a winter squash.

Please note that the contents of this collection may vary slightly depending upon the season.
