For better establishment, naturally healthier plants, better drought resistance and stronger flowering and fruiting, rootgrow™ is all you need. Mycorrhizal fungi will colonise the plant and develop into a huge secondary root system that will increase the root area of your plants by up to 700 times in just a few weeks. This will help the plant find essential nutrients, minerals and moisture, enabling the plant to establish quicker and reducing the risk of failure.
One simple application at planting time is all that is required. Once you have used this amazing product you will wonder how you ever managed to grow your plants without it!
Almost all new plants will benefit from rootgrow™ but there are a few exceptions: blueberries, cranberries, lingonberries, rhododendrons, azaleas, heathers & brassicas. It should be noted that using rootgrow™ on these plants will not harm them - it just won’t work. Please use to rootgrow™ Ericoid for those plants (except Brassicas).
rootgrow™ Professional is suitable for garden designers, landscapers and private individuals with large gardens or planting projects. All rootgrow™ Professional products can be used as a dry granule or mixed with a root dipping gel (supplied) for bare root plants. One 2.5 litre tub will treat 500-1000 bare rooted plants or 100 x 2 litre pots.

rootgrow™ Mycorrhizal Fungi forms a natural partnership with plant roots, helping them absorb more water and nutrients for stronger establishment, improved drought tolerance and healthier long-term growth. The fungal relationship begins forming within 2–4 weeks and continues to benefit the plant for its lifetime.
Standard rootgrow™ (green packs, orange rootgrow™ Gel packs and Professional tubs) is suitable for all fruit plants except blueberries and cranberries. These acid-loving plants require rootgrow™ Ericoid, specially developed for ericaceous plants. Both products are applied in the same way.
How to use rootgrow™ on container grown plants
- Dig a hole large enough for the root ball.
- Sprinkle the recommended amount of rootgrow™ into the base of the hole.
- Position the plant so the roots sit directly on the granules.
- Backfill, firm gently and water well.
How to use rootgrow™ on bare root plants
For bare root trees and plants, either add the granules to the planting hole or dampen the roots and sprinkle the granules directly onto them before planting.
If planting a large quantity of plants, use rootgrow™ Gel or a Professional tub with the included gel sachet to help the mycorrhizal fungi adhere to the roots. Dip the roots into the prepared gel, plant immediately, backfill and water thoroughly.

Carriage & packing charges
Our standard delivery charge to mainland UK is £9.95. Some items (where stated) are p&p inclusive. If you are only ordering items that are p&p inclusive, the standard delivery charge does not apply.
Some deliveries to the Scottish Islands, parts of Scotland, the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Scily Isles may incur surcharges. If a surcharge is applicable, you may not be able to complete your order online. Please telephone us on 01255 440410 for a delivery quotation.
We regret that due to Brexit we are no longer able to deliver to Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the rest of Europe.

Vegetable Plants
Vegetable plants are available from mid May to late July. As a very rough guide, plants ordered before the end of April will usually be despatched by late May. Plants ordered after May will usually be despatched by early June.
Asparagus crowns
Asparagus crowns will be despatched from April to late May. Orders placed during this period will be despatched within 28 days.
Hardware
Biological Controls (Natural Predators) & Bumblebee Hives
Natural Predators and Bumble Bee hives are only despatched at the appropriate time of year (see product description for detailed information). When “in season” they are despatched direct from our supplier in batches on a weekly basis - we send orders to our supplier 12pm Tuesday and they despatch these orders Wednesday the following week. Natural Predators are sent by first class post, bumblebee hives are sent by carrier.
