Walnut Tree 'Broadview' Code: NUT007

£75.95 75.9500 In Stock New

 Sold Out

Juglans regia 'Broadview'

One of the best varieties to grow in the UK as it is slightly resistant to frost at flowering time. Compared with other varieties it is a relatively compact tree and crops heavily from an early age.

Pollination: Self-fertile.

Available for delivery: late November/December - late April.

If you have a spacious garden and wish to plant a stately tree, consider a walnut tree. These trees need ample room as they grow quite large. For smaller spaces, you can either regularly prune the tips or plant them in a Root Control Bag to limit their size.

Are you searching for the perfect walnut tree to grace your UK garden? Our walnut trees are specifically suited to the British climate, ensuring you can enjoy bountiful harvests of delicious walnuts for years to come.

For those eager to enjoy homegrown walnuts as soon as possible, ‘Broadview’ and ‘Europa’ are fantastic options, both coming into cropping early. They are also both compact options that, despite their smaller size, will still provide an impressive yield.

Are you worried about frost damage to your walnut tree? 'Broadview' offers some resistance to frost during flowering time, making it an ideal choice for UK gardens where late frosts can be a problem.

When you buy a walnut tree from Pomona Fruits, you’re not just purchasing a tree; you’re investing in years of beauty and bounty for your garden.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or new to growing nut trees, our walnut trees offer an exciting opportunity to enhance your outdoor space and enjoy the fruits of your labour. Order a walnut tree today and take the first step towards growing your own delicious walnuts right here in the UK.

For better establishment we strongly advise using Rootgrow when planting (as recommended in RHS planting guidelines).

(image for) Rootex Root Control Bag (95 Litre)
£28.95 inc. p&pRootex Root Control Bag (95 Litre)A Rootex Bag will produce a tree with more fibrous roots, reduced vigour and will promote early fruiting. Rootex is a special patented copper coated fabric. When the root tip comes into contact with the copper it stops growing, the apical dominance is interrupted and new feeder (fibrous) roots develop further back towards the tree. This prevents roots from circling and enables better absorption of water and nutrients. Rootex is permeable, allowing water and nutrients to pass through it. A tree grown in a Rootex Bag can be transplanted to another site without damage to the root system even 10 years after it was originally planted. These large bags are ideal for large trees such as walnuts, chestnuts and mulberries. Width 45cm x length 45cm x depth 45cm. Capacity: 95 litres.Buy Now
